Description
Bed linen, T-shirts, trousers and workwear all wear in different ways. With Versatile Repair Patches, simply cut out a suitable piece and iron it over small holes, tears or worn areas.
The patches adhere particularly well to cotton and may also work on various synthetic fabrics, depending on their composition. They are made from polyester and are easy to cut into the shape and size needed for the repair. Remember to round the corners before ironing the patch in place – this reduces the risk of the edges starting to lift.
You receive two patches measuring 9.5 × 12.5 cm. Choose from a wide range of colours to match the garment or turn the repair into a visible detail.
Ideal for
- T-shirts and shirts: Repair small holes, tears and worn areas.
- Trousers and workwear: Cut out a shape that covers the damage and reinforces the surrounding area.
- Bed linen and household textiles: Extend the life of sheets, duvet covers and other cotton textiles.
- Stretch garments: The patches may work on some synthetic materials, but for leggings, sports tights and other garments with plenty of stretch, we primarily recommend our iron-on stretch patches.
- Cut out a piece that covers the hole or tear with a margin around it.
- Round the corners to reduce the risk of the edges starting to lift.
- Position the patch where you want it.
- Place baking parchment directly over the patch to protect it from the iron.
- Set the iron to three dots and switch off the steam. Press firmly for approximately 40 seconds.
- If possible, turn the garment inside out and repeat the pressing from the reverse.
- Allow the repair to rest overnight before wearing or washing the garment.
How well the patch adheres can vary depending on the material’s composition, surface treatment and how much the area is exposed to stretch, wear and washing. On some materials and particularly hard-wearing areas, reinforcing the patch with a few stitches around the edge may be helpful.
Always use baking parchment between the patch and the iron. Follow the recommended temperature and pressing time – more heat or a longer time does not automatically produce a better result.

Do not tumble dry the garment after repairing it.
