Description
Small scratches and chipped paint can make an otherwise tidy surface look considerably more worn. The white touch-up paint pen lets you cover minor marks on white painted surfaces without having to repaint the entire skirting board, door frame or piece of furniture.
The narrow tip makes it easy to apply the paint exactly where it is needed. The white paint covers the exposed wood or darker surface underneath, making the damage far less noticeable. It is a simple way to freshen up those small marks that might otherwise remain untouched.
- Shake the pen thoroughly with the cap in place. The rattling sound comes from the ball that mixes the paint.
- Remove the cap and hold the pen with the tip pointing upwards. Gently press the tip in once.
- Turn the pen so that the tip points downwards and pump it repeatedly against a protected, firm surface.
- Continue until the tip is filled with paint.
- Apply the paint over the damaged area and allow it to dry.
- If the wood underneath has absorbed the first coat or is still visible, you can apply another coat.
- Replace the cap securely after use.
The touch-up pen should be seen as a simple way to cover the most noticeable part of the damage and make the surface look considerably fresher. As white paint comes in many different shades, the colour of the pen may differ slightly from that of the skirting board or door frame.
The result will therefore not always be completely invisible. However, a slight difference between two shades of white is usually far less noticeable than exposed wood where the original paint has chipped away. The aim is simply to make it look better – without having to bring out a tin of paint and a brush.
