When the holder for your hand shower is broken or missing, this shower head holder offers a simple way to get the shower working properly again. It fits directly around the existing riser rail, so there is no need to remove the rail from the wall.
The holder fits round shower rails with a diameter of 19–22 mm. The opening can fit around a rail up to 22 mm wide, while the rail needs to be at least 19 mm wide for the holder to grip securely. As just a few millimetres determine the fit, we recommend measuring the rail with callipers before ordering.
The holder is made from chrome-plated ABS plastic and weighs approximately 65 grams. It is tightened using the turning knob, without the need for tools. Insert the hand shower into the holder from the wider side. This is a standalone replacement rather than an original spare part for a particular shower brand.
- Measure the diameter of the shower rail with callipers.
- Check that the rail measures between 19 and 22 mm.
- Fit the opening of the holder around the rail at your chosen height.
- Turn the knob carefully until the holder sits securely.
- Insert the hand shower into the holder from the wider side.
Do not tighten the knob more than is needed to hold the bracket securely.
If your shower rail has a diameter of less than 19 mm, try building it up with a piece cut from a clean washing-up glove. Cut a strip approximately 2–3 cm wide from the cuff and wrap it evenly around the rail where the holder will sit. Add as many layers as needed until the wrapped section measures approximately 19 mm. The rubber fills the gap while also giving the holder a better grip.
A wide elastic band can also be used to test the idea quickly. For a neater and longer-lasting adjustment, use self-amalgamating silicone tape instead.
