Description
Some seams need to withstand more than others. Gütermann Extra Strong is a robust, hard-wearing polyester sewing thread for seams exposed to heavy strain and frequent wear.
The thread is well suited to repairing heavier materials such as denim, workwear, bags, horse rugs and leather. It can also be used for strong seams, topstitching and decorative stitching where you want the thread to be slightly more visible.
Extra Strong is manufactured using Gütermann’s Micro Core Technology®, which provides consistent thread quality and durable seams. The thread can be used with a standard domestic sewing machine or for hand sewing.

Laglappen recommends
For machine sewing, use a universal needle in size NM 90–110. For hand sewing, choose a stronger, sharp hand-sewing needle with an eye large enough for the thread to pass through easily. Use a specialist leather needle when sewing leather.
