Description
Has your footstool become worn, has a child car seat been damaged or is there a hole in the arm of your sofa? A self-adhesive leather repair patch lets you cover the damage quickly without sewing. Cut the patch to the right shape, round the corners and press it firmly over the area.
The patch is particularly suitable for firm, relatively even surfaces such as footstools, armrests, backrests, child car seats, car seats, chairs, bags and motorcycle seats.
The patches are made from faux leather with a leather-like texture and appearance. They are 0.9 mm thick and provide a sturdy repair once applied.
The patches can also be used for crafts and creative projects. Cut out your own shapes, cover a smaller surface or use the material to create a leather-look detail.
Choose from several colours in the menu. If the repair will remain visible, select the shade that most closely matches the item.
Choose a size
- 10 × 20 cm: For smaller holes, tears and creative details.
- 20 × 30 cm: For larger areas of damage or when you need more coverage.
- 30 × 120 cm: A roll for large surfaces, several repairs or bigger projects.
- Clean the surface and allow it to dry completely.
- Cut the patch so that it covers the entire damaged area with some overlap.
- Round the corners to reduce the risk of them catching and beginning to lift.
- Check the position before removing the backing paper.
- Peel away the backing paper a little at a time while smoothing the patch into place. Avoid touching the adhesive.
- Press firmly across the entire patch, paying particular attention to the edges.
- If possible, leave the patch undisturbed for 12–24 hours before using the surface as normal.
The patch adheres best to a clean, dry and relatively even surface.
As the patch is 0.9 mm thick, its edges should ideally be positioned where they will not be exposed to frequent rubbing. Repeated friction directly against an edge may cause the patch to begin lifting.
Where possible, avoid placing the edges over sharp corners or in the middle of a surface that bends or compresses considerably.
The material’s texture, finish and condition can affect adhesion. If you are unsure, test the patch on an inconspicuous area first.
Removing the patch may leave adhesive behind and could affect delicate or already worn surface layers. Consider the position carefully before applying it.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and display settings.
Can I use the patch to repair a leather jacket?
Yes, the patch may work on a leather jacket, particularly on a smooth area that does not bend or crease very much.
For sleeves, elbows and other areas that move frequently, we primarily recommend our self-adhesive repair patches for down jackets. They are considerably thinner and therefore move with the jacket more easily.
Can I use the patch on a leather sofa cushion?
Yes, but positioning is important. Try to keep the edges away from the areas exposed to the most rubbing when someone sits down, stands up or compresses the cushion.
Choose a patch large enough to position its edges on a less exposed part of the cushion.
Can I remove the patch later?
It may be possible to remove the patch, but adhesive can remain on the surface. Delicate or already worn surface layers may also be affected when the patch is pulled away. Test on an inconspicuous area first.

I fitted a piece to a split on the driver’s seat, it matched well with black leather but the edge is curling due to scuffing with the driver’s clothes. Therefore an extra strong adhesive is required.
