These self-adhesive fabric patches are ideal when you want to quickly repair, renew or create something with fabric. The patch adheres directly without a needle, thread or iron and can be cut easily to the required size and shape.
Use the fabric patch to cover a small hole, conceal a stain, reinforce a worn area or add a decorative detail. It is suitable for items such as bags, lampshades, cushions, upholstery, curtains and a variety of craft projects.
The patches are made from a durable synthetic material. You can cut out a simple shape to cover the damage or use the material more creatively to renew an item and give it a different appearance.
The fabric patches work best on clean, dry fabric surfaces that do not need to be machine-washed. They will not adhere properly to greasy, dirty or waterproofed materials. - Clean the area to be repaired and allow it to dry completely.
- Cut out a piece that is slightly larger than the hole, stain or worn area.
- Round off the corners where possible, as this helps prevent them from lifting.
- Peel away the backing paper gradually as you apply the patch.
- Press and rub the entire patch firmly into place, paying particular attention to the edges.
The back of a spoon can be used to apply firm, even pressure across the whole patch.
The patch does not only need to be used when something is damaged. Cut out shapes, strips or smaller details to cover a stain, renew a home accessory or use the material in a craft project.
For a repair, the patch should cover more than the hole or tear itself. A slightly larger piece provides better adhesion and helps reinforce the material surrounding the damage.
