Movable Magnetic Fasteners – attach without sewing

Need a simple magnetic closure without sewing? These movable magnetic fasteners pin directly into the fabric and can be used on curtains, bags, jackets, cardigans and fabric panels.

They are slightly heavier than our sew-on magnetic fasteners and are therefore better suited to somewhat thicker fabrics. They can also be used for crafts and other projects requiring a movable magnetic closure.

How to attach the magnetic fasteners

1. Remove the butterfly clutch by holding the round, flat section, pinching the sides together and pulling it straight off the pin.
2. Push the pin through the fabric where you want to position the magnetic fastener.
3. Press the butterfly clutch back onto the pin until it is securely attached.
4. Position the second part of the magnetic pair opposite the first and check that the magnets meet correctly.

Important to know

The magnetic fasteners weigh approximately 18 g per pair. They are therefore better suited to slightly thicker or more stable fabrics than to very thin and delicate materials.

Always check that the butterfly clutch is securely attached before use.
