A small but smart tool that makes a big difference when it’s time to bleed your radiators. We chose this model for its excellent grip and ease of use – even when the valve is a bit stiff. It also has a small hole, so you can attach it to a keyring or hang it where you’ll always find it.
You get two keys per pack – perfect for keeping one at home and one in your toolbox.
The key fits standard radiator valves with a 9 mm outer diameter and 5×5 mm inner size, making it suitable for most household radiators.
How to bleed a radiator – step by step:
- Turn off the heating – best done when the system is cool and not circulating water.
- Have a cloth or small bowl ready – a little water might come out.
- Insert the bleed key into the valve – usually found at the top side of the radiator.
- Turn slowly anti-clockwise – you’ll hear a hissing sound as air escapes. When a steady stream of water flows out, you’re done.
- Close the valve – turn the key clockwise to shut it.
- Turn the heating back on and check that the radiators heat up fully.
