Jewellery repair kit – 1,200 pieces with tools

• A total of 1,200 jump rings and lobster clasps
• Silver- and gold-coloured pieces
• Jump rings in 5 sizes from 4 to 10 mm
• 1 pair of bent-nose pliers
• 1 pair of angled tweezers
• 1 ring opener with several slots
• 1 storage box with 12 separate compartments

1. Work over a tray or light-coloured towel so that the small parts do not disappear if you drop them.
2. Choose a jump ring or lobster clasp in a colour and size that suit the jewellery.
3. Place the ring opener over a finger and position the jump ring in the slot where it sits securely.
4. Hold the other side of the jump ring with the bent-nose pliers.
5. Carefully twist the pliers forwards or backwards so that the ends of the ring move sideways. Do not pull the ends straight apart, as this may cause the ring to lose its shape.
6. Attach the chain, lobster clasp or jewellery component that needs to be secured.
7. Twist the jump ring back in the opposite direction until the ends meet and the ring is properly closed.
8. Check that the parts are securely connected and that there is no gap through which the chain or clasp could slip.

Good to know

The pliers are coated with a small amount of oil to help protect them against rust. Wipe them with paper or a cloth before use. The oil is normal and does not mean that there is anything wrong with the tool.

The pieces are silver- and gold-coloured. They are not made from genuine silver or gold.
