Description
Ironing on reflective tape is quick and easy. The result is smooth, neat and professional – more like part of the garment than something added afterwards.
Would you like to make a jacket, hat or backpack more visible while giving it a personal appearance? This iron-on reflective tape is sold by the metre and can be cut to the length and shape you prefer.
Choose from several designs and create straight lines, small details or your own patterns. The reflective tape is ideal for jackets, hats, backpacks and other textiles that can withstand the heat of an iron.
It adheres particularly well to cotton and also works on many synthetic materials. The wider designs are approximately 5 cm wide. Zigzag, Paws, Hearts, Small Hearts, Dog Bones, Chevron and Stars are approximately 2.5 cm wide.
Each unit purchased corresponds to 1 metre of reflective tape.

Zigzag, Paws, Hearts, Small Hearts, Dog Bones, Chevron and Stars are approximately 2.5 cm wide. The other designs are approximately 5 cm wide.
Always check the garment’s care label before starting. The material must be able to withstand the heat of an iron.
- Cut the reflective tape to the required length or shape.
- If it has a blue protective film, remove this first. This side should face the garment.
- Position the reflective tape where you want it.
- Place baking paper or a thin cotton cloth over it.
- Set the iron to 2 dots and switch off the steam.
- Press evenly for approximately 8–20 seconds.
- Allow the area to cool.
- Carefully peel away the carrier film at an angle of approximately 180 degrees.
- If the reflective material lifts with the film, place it back down and press for a few more seconds.
- Once the carrier film has been removed, place the baking paper over the reflector again and press for a further few seconds.
Allow the reflective tape and fabric to cool completely before using the garment.
Test a small piece on a less visible area first. Adhesion is affected by the fabric’s fibre composition, surface treatment and how effectively heat can be transferred to the material.
The reflective tape adheres best to smooth materials that are suitable for ironing. New outdoor garments are often impregnated or water-repellent, which may prevent it from adhering properly.
Always follow the garment’s care instructions and do not use an iron on materials that cannot withstand heat.
The reflector is intended to improve visibility as a complement and is not designed to be used as a personal reflector.
