Don’t throw away shoelaces with missing tips – give them a new lease of life!
With this heat shrink tubing, you can easily repair or shorten shoelaces that have become frayed or are simply too long. Cut off the damaged part or shorten the lace to the desired length, thread on a plastic cylinder, and heat gently – in hot water, with a heat gun, or using a jet lighter from a short distance. After 15–20 seconds, the plastic shrinks evenly around the lace, forming a neat and durable finish (aglet).
You receive approx. 20 cm per purchase – enough for several pairs of shoes, helping you save money and reduce waste.
Instructions:
- Cut off the damaged end of the shoelace.
- Thread on a piece of the tubing.
- Shrink with heat – hot water, heat gun, or jet lighter.
Tip: It is better to heat gently for a little longer than too quickly – this ensures an even and tidy finish.
Content: Approx. 20 cm of cylindrical tubing, suitable for standard shoelaces. 2 different diameters: 6 mm and 5 mm.
