Need to glue fabric without sewing? This quick-drying fabric glue is a practical helper for small repairs, craft projects and textile work where you want to attach fabric to fabric in a simple way.
The glue works well on many common textiles, including cotton, denim, wool, felt and linen. It bonds quickly and gives a flexible join that can move with the fabric better than a hard glue.
The tube is sturdy and easy to use, making it easier to apply an even layer without unnecessary dripping. The glue is white when applied, but becomes more transparent once it has cured.
Size and contents
- 1 tube of fabric glue
- Contents: 30 g
- Solvent-free
- Quick-drying
- For cotton, denim, wool, felt, linen and similar textiles
- Washable up to 40 °C after curing
- The glue is white when applied and becomes more transparent once cured
Please note: the tube shown in some images may say 20 g, but the product supplied contains 30 g.
- Apply a thin layer of glue to one side.
- Place the fabrics together and press the surfaces gently.
- Leave to dry for about 30 minutes.
- For extra good adhesion, you can heat the join with an iron, if the fabric can tolerate heat.
- Let the glue cure properly before using or washing the textile.
For thinner fabrics, it can be better to work in several thin layers. Apply a thin layer of glue to both fabric surfaces and leave to dry for about 10–15 minutes. Then add another thin layer of glue to one side, press the pieces together and leave to cure.
Use slightly too little glue rather than too much. Too much glue can soak through thin fabrics or make the surface stiffer.
The fabric glue is best suited to small repairs, craft projects and textile work where the surfaces can lie flat against each other and make good contact.
Always check that the fabric can tolerate heat before using an iron. On delicate materials, you can let the glue cure without heat.
Do not wash the textile until the glue has cured properly. After curing, the glued area can be washed up to 40 °C.
