A comfortable pair of secateurs that makes it easier to prune twigs and smaller branches on shrubs, flowers and other garden plants.
After each cut, the self-opening spring automatically opens the secateurs again. This means you do not need to pull the handles apart yourself, making repeated cuts easier and reducing strain on your hand.
The soft handles provide a comfortable and secure grip, even during longer jobs in the garden. When the secateurs are not in use, the safety catch keeps them closed for easier storage.
How to clean and care for your secateurs
- Brush away loose plant debris with an old washing-up brush or toothbrush.
- Wipe the blades with a slightly damp cloth.
- Remove sticky sap and resin with a small amount of methylated spirits or isopropyl alcohol applied to the cloth.
- Dry the secateurs thoroughly and, if needed, add a drop of sewing-machine or tool oil to the pivot.
- Open and close the secateurs a few times, wipe away any excess oil, then lock and store them in a dry place.
Do not soak the secateurs or lubricate them with cooking oil, as cooking oil can become sticky over time.
