Buttonhole Elastic – For Adjustable Waistbands

Buttonhole elastic is a practical solution when you need to adjust the fit of a garment. The ready-made buttonholes allow the elastic to be moved easily between different settings.

It works particularly well inside the waistbands of children’s trousers, maternity clothing and other garments that need an adjustable fit. Sew a button to the inside of the waistband, then select the buttonhole that provides a comfortable fit.

The buttonhole elastic can also be used as a foot loop on lighter garments mainly worn indoors. Cut the elastic to a suitable length and fasten the buttonholes over the buttons at the bottom of the trouser legs.

The elastic is soft and comfortable, measures 25 mm in width and is supplied in a length of 1 metre. It can be washed at up to 60°C and is suitable for tumble drying.
