Casco RubberFix 50 ml – Repair Shoe Soles

1. Make sure the material is dry, clean and free from grease. Protect the work surface with paper if needed.
2. Roughen the area using the included sandpaper.
3. Spread RubberFix over the damaged area and approximately 1 cm around it. If the repair needs strengthening, press the polyester mesh into a layer of RubberFix and then cover the entire mesh with more compound.
4. If possible, position the item so that the repair lies horizontally and the compound stays in place.
5. Leave to cure for approximately 48 hours before using the item.

The included polyester mesh is used when a crack or small hole needs extra reinforcement. It is therefore not required for every type of repair.

If the included mesh is not enough, you can use a small piece of thin synthetic mesh from a worn-out trainer, the mesh pocket of an old rucksack or a pair of thin nylon tights. Choose soft, clean mesh with clear openings so that RubberFix can be worked through it and fully surround the threads. Avoid tightly woven fabric and materials that make the repair thick or stiff.

For thinner fabrics, we recommend using a textile adhesive instead, as RubberFix may remain visible through the material. Do not apply the product at temperatures below +5 °C.

The product is not suitable for polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acrylic (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), Teflon or bituminous surfaces.
