Description
Has the ball gone soft, or has the pump needle been lost or broken? A new pump needle lets you use your ball pump again and get footballs, basketballs, handballs and other sports balls ready to play.
The pump needles screw into ball pumps with a threaded fitting. Choose between two options:
Pump needles: Five spare needles for your ball pump. Handy to keep at home or in a sports bag in case a needle is lost, bent or broken.
Adaptor set: A more comprehensive option containing pump needles, various nozzles and a flexible adaptor hose. The hose provides greater freedom of movement while pumping and can make it easier to reach awkwardly positioned valves.
Select the required option from the menu.
Dampen the pump needle with a couple of drops of water before inserting it into the ball valve. If the needle still feels difficult to insert, use very mild soapy water – water with one small drop of mild washing-up liquid.
Insert the needle straight and avoid bending it sideways while pumping. This is gentler on the valve and reduces the risk of the needle bending or breaking.
