When a hinge has pulled away from a cabinet door or the inside of a cabinet, the whole door may not need replacing. The hinge plate covers the damaged area and provides new fixing points around the worn screw holes.
The plate can be fitted to the door or cabinet frame and is primarily designed for common concealed cabinet hinges, also known as cup hinges. It is made from stainless steel, measures 8 × 9 cm and comes with 6 screws.
- Remove the hinge.
- Position the plate over the damaged area.
- Check that the opening and holes align with the hinge position.
- Screw the plate to the door or cabinet frame.
- Attach the hinge to the plate.
- Check that the door opens and closes correctly.
- Tighten the screws securely, but not so tightly that the cabinet material is damaged.
The plate is designed for common cup hinges, but screw-hole positions can vary between models and manufacturers. Before buying, compare the screw holes on your hinge with the hole pattern shown in the product images. If the pre-drilled holes do not align, the plate can often be adapted by drilling new holes with a suitable metal drill bit.

Material: stainless steel Large round opening for the hinge cup
Can be fitted to the door or cabinet frame
The plate is suitable for kitchen cupboards, bathroom cabinets, wardrobes and other furniture with a corresponding hinge.
The hinge plate reinforces the area where the hinge is fitted. It does not replace a bent, cracked or worn hinge. Check that the plate will fit and cover the damaged area. A drill bit suitable for stainless steel is required if new holes need to be made.
